  SPECIAL EVENTS

Ken Bachman Memorial Service
July 15, 11 am, Mountain View Funeral Home
Blairsville, Georgia

Kenneth C Bachman Jr, age 73, of Cherrylog, Ga and formerly of Jupiter, Fl, passed away at his home in Cherrylog on May 25 after an extended illness.

After his retirement from law enforcement, Ken and his wife Bonnie moved to the north Georgia mountains. Ken was a lover of all things outdoors. He enjoyed many years on his boat fishing and diving with friends. Ken was an avid fly fisherman and was past President of the Blairsville chapter of Trout Unlimited and was very active in the Blue Ridge chapter of Trout Unlimited. He was a certified fly-casting instructor and loved the many hours he spent teaching members of the local boy scouts and participating in Project Healing Waters, a program dedicated to helping disabled veterans through flyfishing. Ken was also a member of the Pickens County Sportsmans Club where he enjoyed trap and skeet shooting.

A celebration service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Blairsville, Ga on July15 at11 am. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in his name to Project Healing Waters. Please request any donation made in his name be forwarded to Blue Ridge Mountain Trout Unlimited Chapter #696 so his chapter can continue the great work he loved doing.
